M45, the Pleiades, sometimes known as the Seven Sisters, is a naked-eye open cluster in Taurus. It was imaged here using the piggybacked Skywatcher 100mm refractor with a f6.7 focal reducer using the Starlight Xpress SXV H16 CCD camera. The very young hot (blue) stars illuminate the gas clouds from which they formed. [Jefferis]
