This image of M42, the Orion Nebula, was made using the Skywatcher refractor telescope that is mounted piggy-back fashion on the LX200R telescope. The Starlight Xpress SXV H16 CCD camera was used with exposures of 5 x 2 minutes for the luminance channel and 2 minutes each for the R, G and B. The innermost portion is a separate superimposed image made with exposures of 5 x 10 seconds for the luminance channel and 10 seconds each for the R, G and B. [Jefferis]
