The emission nebula M8 in Sagittarius, known as the Lagoon Nebula, is 6500 light years distant. It was imaged using the LX200R 14" telescope with the Starlight Xpress SXV H16 CCD camera. Exposures were 8 minutes for the Luminance and 4 minutes for each for the R, G and B. [Jefferis]
