Heart of the Milky Way

Taken at Durlston on 25th Aug 2017 using modified Canon 550d at ISO 800 with Canon 10-18 zoom at around 12mm and F5.6 on a SkyTracker mount. Exposures were 36 1-minute lights, 25 1-minute darks, and around 40 each flat, dark flat and bias frames, stacked in DSS and processed in StarTools.

It must have been more hazy than it seemed as the brightest stars and Saturn have quite large halos. [Peter Rusling]
