Image is of M16 the Eagle Nebula some 7K LY distance in Serpens containing the famous "Pillars of Creation" which can be seen in the centre of the nebula. It is in the next inner spiral arm of the Milky Way and is a great cloud of interstellar gas caused to shine by emission light,excited by high energy radiation of its massive hot young stars and is still in a vivid process of star formation.

A total of 5 hours exposure with Baader Ha/O3/S2 NB filters on an Atik 460e /Mak-Newt.190/Maxim/DSS/PS5.
