This image is of Sh2-101, an emission nebula in Cygnus known as the Tulip Nebula.At the top right is the famous Cygnus X-1 system the brightest source of x-rays in our sky.The large blue super giant star is in a binary system with a 20 solar mass black hole. Contains 4hrs Ha(1x1),2hrs O3/2hrs S2(both 2x2),all 20 min exposures . Taken with an Atik 383+ Mono on Richey-Cretien 250mm F5.4 on NEQ6,guided by PHD/QHY5 camera, stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop CS5 in Natural Colour."
